Avatars
Avatars in UNAVI use the VRM format.
VRM
VRM is an open file format for 3D humanoid avatars, built on glTF.
A .vrm file contains the model and its textures, along with a standard bone layout, facial expressions, and spring bones for hair and clothing.
It also carries the author's name and the license for how the avatar may be used.
Because VRM is shared by many apps, an avatar made for one of them will generally work in another. UNAVI supports both VRM 0.x and VRM 1.0.
Since every VRM uses the same bone layout, UNAVI's walking, running, and jumping animations play on any avatar. Your size in the world also follows the avatar, so a taller avatar has a higher eye height.

- VRoid Studio builds an anime-style avatar from sliders and painted textures, with no modeling required, and exports straight to VRM.
- The VRM Add-on for Blender imports, edits, and exports VRM files, for modeling an avatar from scratch or adjusting an existing one.
- UniVRM exports VRM from Unity, for converting an existing humanoid avatar into a
.vrmfile.
